Welcome to The Environment Centre on Holywell Mead |
How many towns have an Environment Centre like High Wycombe - a place for environmental groups, from Transition Towns and Beekeepers to Friends of the Earth and more, to meet, share ideas and work together to help change local thinking? We should be encouraging more of these purpose-built Environment Centres!

Our current exhibition "Birds and Birdsong" gives you another opportunity to see this popular display, with singing toy birds suspended above! On International Dawn Chorus Day we identified around 30 real birds singing at 4am on the Rye.
In conjunction with our birds, from 13th June come and see more BIRD ART done by Harlow House Acute Day Hospital as part of Bucks Open Studios.
Our Beekeepers have just given the hive its spring clean and now you can really see what the bees are up to! Come and see them as they return to the hive with pollen sacs filled, perform their waggle dance and start to rebuild the honeycomb and fill it with nectar. Also, new this year is our family of Bumblebees. Come and get a close-up look at the nest and learn about the differences between Honey and Bumble bees.
