Meeting Room

The Environment Centre has a large meeting room for up to 100 people which is available for meetings, talks and other events. Booking fees are £50 per session up to 4 hours (£45 for charitable organisations) and include the use of urns, mugs and equipment. We offer a 'no-frills' service; you are free to re-organise the room to meet your needs and you will need to provide your own refreshments. We also ask that you wash up your mugs and plates. Exhibition Hall

The exhibition hall is also available to hire but we reserve the right to ensure material on display is suitable for the general public and supportive of our aims. Please contact The Manager for more information.

Events

The Environment Centre is keen to work in partnership with local groups to build a programme of jointly promoted events. For an annual subscription of £15, your group will be enrolled as a "Friend". You will then be able to use The Centre's meeting room free of charge so long as your event is broadly supportive of our environmental messages and is open to the public. The events you organise and run will form part of The Centre's overall published programme and, subject to there being no other booking, there would be scope for you to offer events during our regular opening hours and most evenings.

For those occasions when your group wants exclusive use of the meeting room, we will continue to make a charge, which for evening events will be at the reduced rate of £5 per half hour subject to a minimum of £20. Day rates (other than when we are open to the public) will be £45 per morning or afternoon session.
